Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect once a request has been submitted?
Great question. You can expect an invite for initial consult within 1-3 business days of initial contact. More details will be included in your statement of work prior to the official start of work.
How long does it take to create required labeling elements?
Creating all required label elements takes 2-5 business days, depending on the complexity of the project. Most projects will be closer to 2-3 days. You will be provided a statement of work with estimated hours needed prior to starting. One of our main goals is transparency throughout the project.
What if I have 50 flavors of the same type of product? Do I still need to pay full price for each variation?
The short answer: it depends. The longer answer is, maybe not. We’ll evaluate the recipes and provide discounted pricing when possible. For transparency, there is a rubric we use to determine whether something is a separate recipe or can qualify for a discounted rate because it is an insignificant variation. Rubric can be shared as part of initial work order before work begins.
What information do you need before a label can be created?
We’ll share during our initial consultation, but a project-specific documentation checklist will be provided after the statement of work has been signed and delivered. In general, please ensure you have specs for all raw ingredients, packaging dimensions, and fill weights.
What are the regulatory required labeling elements?
In general, required labeling elements include, but are not limited to, statement of identity, net contents, nutrition, ingredients, manufacturing information, best before date and/or traceability information. There are many potential nuances or additional requirements depending on the specific product. We’re happy to talk through the details for your product as much as you’d like.
Do you sign non-disclosure agreements?
Yes, we will sign most non-disclosure agreements. These will need to be completed before a statement of work can be created.
